The Memory Walk Garden begins at the entry of the Display Garden under the arched trellis east of the parking lot. The central brick walk is studded with honorary engraved bricks. The Memory Walk honors and remembers people who have made a significant contribution to SWIMGA with a lasting tribute. The center section honors all the SWIMGA Past Presidents, Member of the Year recipients and Legacy Award recipients. In addition, some bricks were purchased by friends and family to memorialize a loved one. Plants featured in the Memory Walk Garden include Bobo Hydrangea, a Homestead Verbena ground cover along the back, and on the sides between the brick areas are Creeping Veronica Georgia Blue. Each side of the arch is planted with Clematis accompanied with Veronica and complemented with different annuals each year.
The combination of the lush plantings and the brick walk welcomes visitors into the Master Gardeners Display Garden where they are free to explore, learn and enjoy the efforts of SWIMGA members.
