Sunrise volunteers had fun with 220 EVSC Summer Camp attendees the last week of June. The 2nd through 5th grade campers toured the Sunrise Pump Station, learned about rain gardens and the criteria for registering a Monarch Waystation, and planted approximately 9 flats of pollinator plants. The campers also helped correct some tree planting mistakes. The Kindergarten and 1st grade campers were treated to an exciting water presentation by Susan Fowler, “the storyteller,” and also planted seeds and pollinator plants.
